I am currently working on a module for the MAPHEUS rocket of the DLR (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt). We are measuring the quality of bit flips (a bit flipping to their opposite value) in memory, while we are tracking the environment. Bit flips are caused by radiation, which level is increasing with height. We want to find out the quantity of errors in memory in order to understand whether the increased height has a negative effect on the reliability of memory. This project started as an idea at the Jugend Hackt Berlin 2025 Hackathon. After an application to the DLR with our project, we started building and programming.
